Conversations
The same way we chat with people today, we will be talking to services.
It is already happening across chat platforms for a decade and has accelerated with advent of conversational AIs. When I order pizza in Tung Chung, I always message the same place. Scroll up, copy, paste a prior order, adjust, and send. It would be even cooler to just say “as usual” and get what I want – I’m that person who orders the same thing I like again and again.
It would be even better if I could pay using the chat instead of cash on delivery!
The big change coming with natural agents: we will see new business and interaction models when a company does not really need an app or a website, just an endpoint for a conversational agent and open for business. Every messagingg platform will host these conversations: WhatsApp, Telegram, iMessage, Signal, WeChat, Line, etc.
We are about to enter a new stage of competition for discoverability and the flow of commerce. And we at People App believe we have a good chance to establish ourselves as a natural place for many of these conversations – you would want to keep your trusted human network and your trusted services networks close.
The secret power of People App is in the genuine recommendations by your immediate and extended networks. Instead of googling things, you can just ask and get a service that was vetted by one of your real-life connections. Sometimes it is other people, but incessantly more it will be services represented by natural agents.
A trusted network is the best enabler for commerce. We will never take money for promoting companies or services; instead, we create a space where they can take the leap in earning trust in communities.
Instead of advertising and influencing, I want to see brands building lifelong trusted relationships and empowering communities. Both advertisement model and influencer model are outdated. We are here for genuine relationships driven by values and results.
The new economy of trust will be transformational to the way we live our life’s. I hope to see new brands emerging with focus on sustainability, diversity, empowerment. I want People App to deserve to be the platform they choose.
There are fundamental reasons why I use Apple products, and it is not about virtue signaling, it is about sharing values at fundamental level. Apple doing the hard work of consistently delivering the best tools for creatives empowering us with user experience nobody can match. The earned my trust over a decade (I used to be a Linux + Android person).
I love my iPad and I’m not saying it lightly. I want more things in my life that I can connect with on a deep level and more brands I can include in my high-trust network.
